Mrs. Blakley will be teaching 7th and 8th Social Studies. Although this is her first year at Rose Park Middle School, this is her 10th year as a classroom teacher. Last year she taught 7th grade Language Arts at Martha Vaught Middle School. She is certified in both English and Social Studies and looks forward to teaching World Geography and U.S. History.
She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and a loyal "Big Blue" fan; she has a Masters Degree in Guidance and counseling from Western Kentucky University. She is married with two grown daughters. Gardening, walking, and reading are her favorite hobbies. Also, she is a member of the Women's National Book Association Nashville Chapter and has been the treasurer for the Association Nashville Chapter for the past six years. This non-profit organization promotes reading and literacy. |
