Joycelyn Johnson began her teaching career in 2004. She believes that education should be approached with a positive attitude, open mind, high expectations, and a warm climate. Ms. Johnson’s classroom environment is a healthy balance between an investigative hands-on approach, and a traditional classroom setting.

She is a native of Detroit, MI where she attended Wayne State University before ultimately earning her B.S. in Education from Tennessee State University.

She has a son and she aspires to become a guidance counselor, author, and small business owner.
