Students are not permitted to use email, visit chat rooms, or play unapproved games in the library. Students should ask Ms. Todd before printing.
Due to the mature nature of some of the books, only 7th and 8th graders will be permitted to check them out. Younger students, however, may read the books by getting written permission from their parents.
Circulation and Selection Policy
Criteria:
1. Students may have no more than 2 books checked out at one time; students may check out 1 magazine overnight only. Late fees ($.50 per day) are imposed for late return of magazines. It is requested that students return books as soon as students have read or accessed what they need. Reference books must be used in the LMC or classroom.
2. Materials (print and nonprint) will support the curriculum.
3. Materials will have been reviewed by professional resources or are from reputable publishers.
4. Patrons may request materials; however the above criteria will still apply.
5. Gifts become the property of the school and will be dispensed as the Library Information Specialist deems necessary. Only those materials of high quality in content and in excellent condition will be shelved for patron use. Others may be used for student projects.
6. Books that are older, have obsolete information, or are in poor condition will be discarded. |
