Alison Cook has taught in the Metro Nashville public schools for thirty-one years. For twenty-four of those years she was a high school teacher, first at DuPont High School (now DuPont Hadley Middle School) and then at Glencliff Comprehensive High School. Her students won many awards for Mock Trial, National Teachers of English writing contests, and Student Writers’ Showcase. She is certified in language arts and social studies. In 2005 she was voted District Middle School Teacher of the Year. Her specialty areas are writing and grammar.
